About Me

I teach entrepreneurship courses and conduct research that focuses on the impact of external influences on the decisions made in the entrepreneurship process. My overarching career objective is to assist both entrepreneurs and the individuals supporting entrepreneurs to improve their interactions in order to increase the probability of new venture success.

My Areas of Expertise:
* Crafting Go-to-Market Strategy
* Pitching
* Angel investing
* Mentoring – advice giving and taking
* Global Consulting to Entrepreneurs

The courses I teach focus on the very beginning of the entrepreneurship process. Students learn about idea generation, market research and how to construct a go-to-market strategy that specifies how they will provide the right product/service, to the right customer, at the right price and place in order to achieve competitive advantage.

Courses I have taught:
* Entrepreneurial Marketing & Selling
* Management of Small Business Enterprises
* Small Business Management & Growth
* Entrepreneurial Universe
* Managerial Finance
* Intro to Professional Management
* Real Estate Principles

I have written an interactive textbook, Entrepreneurial Opportunity Assessment & Go to Market Plan. By using Top Hat I am able to deliver interactive content inside and outside the classroom which makes learning more engaging and builds comprehension.

My research has been published in Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, Journal of Business Venturing and Venture Capital: An International Journal of Entrepreneurial Finance. It also has been highlighted in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and the New York Times Bestseller Originals: How Non-Conformists Move the World by Adam Grant.

When I’m not working, I love playing tennis, seeing new places and spending time with my children – 2 human and 1 canine.
